Roberta L. Wilkes received a B.A. degree from Wichita State University in 1973. She graduated magna cum laude with university honors. She received a Juris Doctor degree from University of Missouri at Kansas City, in 1977, graduating with distinction. She was a member of Law Review.
Roberta was admitted to practice in the state of Kansas and the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas, in 1977. She was admitted to practice in the State of Oklahoma in 2008.
Roberta focuses her practice on estate planning, including the drafting of wills and trusts and the handling of probate estates. She also counsels clients and drafts documents relating to both real estate and small business matters. Her practice includes the formation of corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships. She represents parties to foreclosure actions. She is experienced in the field of nonprofit organizations and has led groups through the Internal Revenue Service process of obtaining charitable exempt status. An accomplished musician herself, she is interested in all the arts and has represented artists and artistic groups with regard to contracts and nonprofit organizations.
Roberta is also an ordained minister. She was ordained at Light of Christ Community Church in Tahlequah, Oklahoma in 2004. Her ordination is sponsored by the International Council of Community Churches and is inter-faith and non-denominational.
Roberta brings to her practice an ability to communicate with her clients in a caring manner as well as a sincere desire to assist them in the solving of their problems. She will travel to the client’s home or the hospital or nursing home when the circumstances require a visit outside of her office. She practices in all the counties in northeast Kansas, as well as Cherokee County, Oklahoma.
